These Terms and Conditions apply to all students receiving Thai language training from Urai Khomkham at Thai Language Tuition UK. By enrolling in either Private Tuition or Weekly Group Class, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions below, which was last updated on 1st April 2025.

As your tutor, I am committed to providing you with comprehensive and effective tutoring services tailored to your individual learning needs. However, it is essential to understand that while I am dedicated to supporting you, your level of achievement ultimately depends on various factors, primarily your 3Ds – dedication, determination, and discipline.
- Dedication: Your commitment to learning Thai plays a significant role in your progress. Consistently engaging with the material, attending tutoring sessions, and practicing outside of class are essential for success.
- Determination: Overcoming challenges and setbacks is an inherent part of the language learning process. Your determination to persevere through difficulties and stay focused on your goals will greatly impact your ability to progress.
- Discipline: Establishing a structured study routine and managing your time effectively are crucial for making steady progress. Maintaining discipline in your study habits, such as setting aside dedicated time for practice and review, is key to achieving proficiency in Thai.
I am here to support you every step of the way and encourage open communication throughout our tutoring sessions. Your feedback is valuable, and I welcome any questions, concerns, or suggestions you may have regarding your learning experience. Together, we can tailor our approach to meet your specific needs and ensure your success.
However, language learning is a collaborative effort. I cannot be held responsible for learning results that do not meet students’ expectations. Your progress is influenced by your personal dedication, determination, and discipline.

Tutoring Agreement
Your progress is influenced by your personal dedication, determination, and discipline.
All lessons are delivered online via Google Meet. Students are responsible for having a stable internet connection and a suitable device (such as a computer, tablet, or smartphone) with a microphone and camera for participation. After completing your registration and payment, you will receive a Welcome Email containing the link to join our online learning community, along with the link to access your weekly scheduled lesson. Please ensure you check your inbox (and spam folder) for these important details. While joining the online community is optional, it is highly recommended as it provides extra resources, lesson updates, and ongoing support throughout your learning journey.
Payment for Tuition
Private Tuition: To enroll in private tuition, you must first book a Free Consultation Session, where we’ll discuss your learning objectives, assess your current level, and design your personalised study plan. A one-time registration fee of £90 is required, which grants you access to my exclusive learning library and private student community for as long as you remain an active private student. To maintain steady progress, you must commit to at least one lesson per week. Tuition is paid weekly via Stripe in easy instalments, ensuring your learning remain consistent, flexible, and stress-free. To complete your registration, you’ll need to pay the one-time registration fee plus one lesson fee (£120 in total). This means you’ll always be one week ahead in your tuition schedule. You weekly payment will then be automatically charged to your chosen payment method at the same time each week.
Weekly Group Classes: To enrol in the Weekly Thai Group Classes, you must first become a member of Thai Language Tuition UK for £40 per month, which grants you access to the group sessions and ongoing support. Once you’re a member, you’ll receive full details on how to join the live classes, held every Tuesday from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM (UK Time). Before each session, I’ll provide guidance on the topics we’ll cover, including key vocabulary and conversation practice, so you can come prepared. Simply log in, join the discussion, practice speaking Thai in a structured and supportive environment, and build your confidence in real-life communication. Your membership plan will be automatically charged to your chosen payment method on a monthly recurring basis, starting from the date you enrolled as a student.
Cancellations and Missed Lessons
Private Tuition: All private lessons are scheduled at a mutually agreed time each week. If you are unable to attend your weekly scheduled private lesson, it is important that you email or text me in advance to inform me that you cannot make the session. However, please note that missed lessons cannot be rescheduled, transferred, or refunded, regardless of the notice given. The lesson will be counted as part of your agreed plan, regardless of whether you attend or not. This means cancellations are not offered and no credit will be given. However, homework may be assigned so that you can continue to get plenty of practice in Thai, ensuring that you stay on track with your learning. In the rare event that I need to cancel your lesson, you will be offered a rescheduled session at a convenient time to both of us. This policy ensures that all students’ schedules are respected and that lessons are structured efficiently.
Weekly Group Class: The group lesson takes place every Tuesday from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM (UK time). If you happen to miss a class, please note that rescheduling, transferring, or refunds for missed sessions are not available. However, I understand that life happens, so if you know in advance that you won’t be able to attend, I kindly ask that you email or text me to inform me. This way, I can ensure that you stay on track with your learning. To help you catch up, I will share the lesson notes or materials in advance, and I encourage you to review them at your own pace. This ensures you continue to make progress, even if you’re unable to join live. My goal is to support your Thai learning journey, and with your commitment and preparation, you’ll be able to keep up with the rest of the class.
Late Arrivals
Private Tuition: I understand that sometimes things come up, and you might arrive late to your private lesson. However, please try to arrive on time so that we can make the most of your scheduled time. If you are running late, please email or text me to let me know. Keep in mind that the lesson will end at the scheduled time, and we will not be able to extend it to make up for the time lost due to your late arrival. If you’re consistently running late, please inform me in advance so we can work together to find a solution and ensure you get the most out of your lesson.
Weekly Group Class: I understand that sometimes things happen, and you might arrive late to the group lesson. However, please arrive on time to avoid missing out on important content at the start of the session. If you are late, please be aware that the class will continue as scheduled, and the lesson will not be extended to accommodate late arrivals. The session will finish at the scheduled time, regardless of when you join. I encourage you to join the session as quietly and respectfully as possible to avoid disrupting the flow of the lesson.
Planned Absence (e.g. holiday)
Private Tuition: If you have a planned absence, such as going on holiday, you can keep your usual weekly slot. However, to retain your regular lesson time during your absence, you will need to pay the usual tuition fee for that period. This ensures that your regular time slot remains available to you when you return. Upon your return, we will arrange a time to make up the missed hours and continue with your normal learning schedule. Please note that this option is only available if your absence is planned and communicated in advance, so I can plan accordingly and ensure you don’t fall behind in your lessons.
Weekly Group Class: If you know in advance that you will be unable to attend a group lesson due to a planned absence, such as a holiday, please inform me as early as possible. Since group lessons are scheduled regularly, you will not be able to retain your regular spot in the class during your absence. However, you can catch up on the missed session using the materials I will provide, such as lesson notes or recordings, so you don’t fall behind. It is important that you review these materials to stay up to date with the content covered. This ensures you can continue making progress even while you’re away.
Termination of Tuition
Private Tuition: You can cancel your private tutoring at any time. However, please provide at least one week’s notice so I can adjust my schedule accordingly. This allows for smooth planning and helps me manage other students’ schedules. If you decide to rejoin in the future, you will need to pay the one-time registration fee again to restart your lessons.
Weekly Group Class: You can cancel your Group Membership at any time. However, please note that membership fees are non-refundable, and your access will remain active until the end of your current billing cycle. To avoid being charged for the next payment cycle, you must cancel your subscription at least 48 hours before the next payment date. If you decide to rejoin in the future, you can simply restart your membership without any additional registration fee, as the one-time registration fee applies only to private tutoring.
