Learning Thai isn’t about being perfect. It’s about feeling comfortable enough to try.

Private Thai Coaching

Here, progress comes from clarity, not pressure. From practice, not fear. From understanding, not guessing.

Private Thai Coaching is a supportive space where you can slow down, ask questions, make mistakes, and finally feel confident using Thai in real life. This is not about rushing through lessons or memorising endless rules. It’s about understanding how Thai works and learning how to use it naturally.

Every session is tailored to you — your goals, your pace, and your reasons for learning Thai. Whether you want to speak with confidence, understand conversations more clearly, or finally make sense of sentence structure, the coaching meets you where you are and guides you forward step by step.

If you’ve ever felt stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of your ability to speak Thai, this is your reminder: you are capable, and with the right guidance, Thai can feel natural and achievable. This is your space to grow — calmly, confidently, and in your own time.

Your Personal Path to Thai Fluency

What the Private Thai Coaching Is About

Private Thai Coaching is for learners who want personalised support, clear guidance, and focused progress — without pressure or overwhelm. This is one-to-one coaching designed around you: your goals, your pace, and your reasons for learning Thai. Whether you’re a complete beginner or someone who’s studied Thai before but still hesitates to speak, private coaching gives you the space and support to build real confidence.

Private Thai Coaching is for learners who want personalised support and are ready to commit to learning Thai with intention and consistency. It’s especially suited to those who value clarity, encouragement, and long-term progress — whether you’re starting from scratch or you’ve studied Thai before but still hesitate to speak or trust yourself with the language.

This coaching is not about rushing or memorising phrases. It’s about building understanding step by step, in a way that feels supportive, realistic, and aligned with your life. Many learners come to private coaching feeling stuck, unsure, or lacking confidence — and this space is designed to help you move through that gently, with guidance and reassurance along the way.

As a private coaching student, you’ll receive weekly homework and guided practice tailored specifically to you. These are designed to help you stay connected with Thai between sessions, deepen your understanding, and build confidence through small, meaningful steps — without feeling overwhelmed. Your learning continues throughout the week, not just during your one-hour session.

You’ll also have full access to the Learning Hub and private community, giving you extra structure, learning materials, and ongoing support beyond your one-to-one lessons. The Learning Hub helps you revise, practise, and reflect at your own pace, while the community offers a safe, encouraging space to ask questions, share progress, and stay motivated alongside others who are walking a similar path.

Every 12 weeks, we’ll take time to review your progress through an assessment. This isn’t about pressure or pass/fail — it’s about clarity and reflection. Together, we’ll look at what’s working well, where you’re growing, and what needs adjusting so your learning continues to move forward in a way that feels right for you.

Private coaching works best for learners who are willing to show up regularly, engage with the process, and trust that real language confidence is built over time. If you’re looking for a quick fix, this may not be the right fit. But if you’re ready for a steady, meaningful journey — one that builds real confidence, understanding, and connection with Thai — private coaching offers the support and structure to help you get there.

Private Thai Coaching sessions are £30 per hour, with a commitment of one 60-minute session each week. This steady weekly structure is intentional — it gives you the space to absorb, practise, and build confidence gradually, rather than rushing or feeling overwhelmed. Over time, this consistency leads to real understanding and natural progress in Thai.

There is also a one-time registration fee of £150, which gives you full access to the Learning Hub and private community for as long as you remain an active private coaching student. Inside the Learning Hub, you’ll find structured learning materials, guided resources to support your weekly lessons, and tools to help you revise, reflect, and practise between sessions. This means your learning doesn’t stop when your lesson ends — you’re supported throughout the week, at your own pace.

The private community gives you a safe, encouraging space to stay connected, ask questions, share progress, and learn alongside others who are on a similar journey. Many students find this especially valuable, as it reminds them they’re not learning alone and helps keep motivation high during the quieter moments of the learning process.

The registration fee ensures you begin your coaching journey fully equipped, supported, and connected, rather than relying on one-hour sessions alone. It allows me to provide a more complete learning experience — one that combines personalised coaching, guided resources, and ongoing encouragement.

Private coaching works best for learners who are ready to commit, show up consistently, and invest in themselves. This fee structure reflects the level of care, preparation, and long-term support involved, and helps ensure that private coaching remains a focused, supportive space for students who are serious about building lasting confidence in Thai.

Your weekly private coaching session will be agreed during your Induction Session, giving you a fixed day and time reserved just for you. This dedicated slot is yours alone, a space where you can focus completely on your Thai learning and feel supported as you build consistency, confidence, and momentum.

To secure your sessions, you’ll pay for 5 tutoring sessions in advance, and an invoice will be sent every 5 weeks. This advance payment helps both of us plan your learning journey thoughtfully, so each lesson builds on the last and moves you steadily toward your goals. It also creates a gentle rhythm and structure, helping you stay consistent and see real progress over time.

Each lesson is thoughtfully prepared in advance around your individual needs, goals, and current level. Because this preparation is done specifically for you, I don’t offer cancellations, and if you arrive late, the missed time can’t be made up. This helps ensure that every session stays focused, fully prepared, and runs smoothly — while also respecting the learning time of other students.

If you need to reschedule, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice, and I’ll do my best to offer another slot. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice cannot be rescheduled, as your lesson time and preparation have already been set aside especially for you. This policy helps protect your learning journey, the time, care, and effort that go into preparing your lessons, and allows me to support committed learners with consistency and fairness.

Even when you take a holiday, your weekly tuition continues, but you can make up any missed hours when you return, so your learning momentum isn’t lost. If you’d like to keep your usual slot while away, we’ll make sure it’s reserved for you. These guidelines create rhythm, structure, and accountability — all of which help you build steady, lasting progress and confidence in using Thai.

If at any point you feel private coaching isn’t right for you, you can end your coaching with just one week’s notice. While your access to the Learning Hub and community will be closed, we completely understand that circumstances change. This policy helps us continue to offer personalised support and dedicated time to each learner actively on their journey.

If you ever wish to return to private coaching in the future, you’re always welcome back — simply reenrol and pay the registration fee again. This ensures that when you return, we can provide the same level of care, planning, and focus that makes private coaching so effective.

Private Thai Coaching begins by filling out the request form below, where you’ll be invited to share a little about your background, your goals, and most importantly, your why for learning Thai. This isn’t about having the “right” answers — it’s about understanding what truly matters to you and how private coaching can best support your journey. Your why is important because learning a language takes time, consistency, and courage. When I’m clear on what’s driving you, I can shape your lessons in a way that feels meaningful, motivating, and aligned with your real life — not just your textbook.

Once I receive your request, I’ll be in touch within 24 hours (or by Monday if your request comes in over the weekend). If it feels like a good fit, I’ll invite you to book an Induction Session. This first session is a relaxed, supportive conversation where we get to know each other, clarify your goals, and agree on your weekly coaching time.

During the Induction Session, we’ll also talk through how private coaching works, what to expect as a one-to-one student, and how we’ll structure your learning so it feels steady, clear, and achievable.

Before applying, I invite you to read through what Private Thai Coaching is about and reflect on whether you’re ready for the commitment. Private coaching works best when both teacher and student are aligned and fully invested in the journey.

Private coaching is best suited for learners who are here for the long haul. Many of my private students have been learning with me for five years or more, and some for nearly a decade. If you’re ready to show up consistently, stay curious, and build real confidence in Thai, I’d love to hear from you.

If private coaching feels like the right fit, I’ll invite you to an induction session where we’ll take time to talk about your goals, your learning background, and how we can work together. I work best with learners who are committed and here for the long haul. Many of my private students have been learning with me for over five years, and some for nearly ten. If you’re ready to build confidence step by step, with patience and consistency, I’d love to support you on your journey.

What Our Clients Say

Testimonials

A Journey Towards Retirement in Thailand

Paul — from UK

I only do 1 lesson per week with homework which I do in my own time during the week. Everything is well explained and a well presented learning pack which makes it easier to understand the structure of the language.

A Doctor's Journey to Thai Fluency

Liyana — from UK

Li is a dedicated and hardworking teacher. She makes learning Thai fun with her various teaching methods and she has also created lots of helpful resources. I started from zero knowledge of Thai language.

Preparing for a New Role with the European Commission in Thailand

Lucia — from European Commission

I started learning Thai because of my upcoming professional assignment in Thailand. I must admit that at the beginning I was not sure whether it would be worth the effort as it is such a different language from everything I know. But after studying Thai with Urai, my recommendation for you is to 100% go for it. Urai is a patient and very experienced teacher, and her classes are fun and informative, which was important for my motivation and desire to keep learning more. All in all, I think I was very lucky to be able to study Thai with Urai.

Building Strong Partnership Through Thai Language

Nick — from National Crime Agency

I'm extremely pleased with how the course has started. Urai quickly identified my areas of weakness with great accuracy, and we work on improving them every day. Together, we agreed to prioritise speaking and listening skills, which are essential for my role, while balancing this with reading and writing as needed. We've covered a significant amount over the past months, and I'm very happy with both the pace and progress of the course.
