Your 15-Minute Thai Challenge

Happy Monday, everyone. I hope you had a lovely Valentine’s weekend with the people who matter most to you — whether that was family, friends, or simply some well-deserved time for yourself. As we step into a new week, I want to gently encourage you to build one small habit.

Just 15 minutes a day. I’m not asking for hours. Just intention.

Life is busy — I know that more than anyone. Work, family, responsibilities… the days move quickly, and before you know it, it’s evening. You’re exhausted, your energy is low, and relaxing feels far more appealing than opening your Thai learning notes.

But we all have 15 minutes. Fifteen minutes to learn one new word. Fifteen minutes to review a sentence structure. Fifteen minutes to read your notes and say the words out loud.

Remember…

  • One word a day is seven new words a week.
  • Once sentence a day is confidence building quietly in the background.

The thing is, learning Thai isn’t about cramming vocabulary at the last minutes and hoping it sticks. It isn’t about rushing through homework and hour before your lesson just to tick it off. And it certainly isn’t about attending one or two lessons and expecting fluency to magically appear.

It’s about being able to use the language.

It’s about recognising the vocabulary from your homework when you hear it again. It’s about forming a sentence without second-guessing every word. It’s about building familiarity so that Thai starts to feel natural rather than forced.

Fluency doesn’t come for pressure. It comes from repetition. It comes from consistency. It comes from allowing your brain the space and time to absorb the language properly.

When you make daily contact with the language — even short, focused moments — it makes a big difference. It allows you to walk into your lesson feeling prepared rather than rushed and stressed.

So, aim to do a little bit every day. Fifteen minutes. That’s all. You’ll be surprised how powerful something so small can be.

My challenge for you this week: Pick one short 15-minute window in your day for a quick review of your notes or to learn a new word.

Keep it simple, keep it repeatable, and the results will follow. If you’re learning Thai with me, I’ll see you in class. If you’re not, maybe it’s time to change that 55555

Have a wonderful week ahead!
